CHATEAU LA GRACE DIEU LES MENUTS
The evolution of the 2000 vintage is still confirming this wine’s title of "Millésime du siècle" (Vintage of the Century). This is a wine with huge potential, afforded 88/100 and the following commentary by the « Guide Gilbert et Gaillard 2005 » : « A lively and youthful red, the nose commences with subtle hints of violets and red fruit which are followed by spice and liquorice. On the palate the flavours follow through and are paired with an excellent structure and lovely tannins. »
The 2001 vintage earned a 2 star rating in the « Guide Hachette 2005 » :
" From a thoughtful blend, this 2001 is remarkable for its superb deep bordeaux colour. The nose, although still young, hints at fruit aromas and those of liquorice and cocoa. The palate is balanced and well structured with good persistent tannins which assure a worthy evolution."
This vintage was rated as the second great red wine in the « Guide Dussert-Gerbert 2005 » :
" Taste this exceptional Saint-Emilion Grand Crû 2002, with its lovely colour, its nose of blackberry and pepper, its full structure and smooth yet rich, elegant tannins."
2003 This vintage is the result of a precocious summer and low yield. The grapes with the heat were very high in sugar and low in acidity and vinification and maturation were quite complex. With extreme care put into both, we produced this vintage as aromatic and powerful fruit forward wines with rich hearty tannins.
